The election of last Monday was tiring. Okay before I comment, I would just like to congratulate the newly elected barangay officials of La Trinidad.
COMELEC - LA TRINIDAD DEPARTMENTBabanat na ako! I have been a poll watcher as well as in the roving team ever since I started voting due to the fact that my father was a politician. I am not writing this stuff because my father lost, this is just an observation.
This has been the problem of La Trinidad every election time. Our problem is our very own "COMELEC" staff. A lot of people were always complaining of their name not included in the voter's list that was posted in the precincts.
How come? and
YOU EVEN expect them to go to your office to check for their name? Just imagine how many precincts they will have to go through just to look for their name. And one thing more, the precincts of my beloved barangay
PICO, was actually divided into two. Precinct Number 55-59 were in the elementary school, while the precinct number 60-65 were in the High school department. Wala naman sanang problema, basta magkalapit sana sila. Ang kaso we have to walk
1 kilometer away from the elementary department going to the high school department. We even have to pass the voting area of BETAG. I remember this so well, in the 2002 barangay election, 4 precincts were int the High School department and a lot of people asked that these 4 precincts will be merged with the others come next barangay election, which was last Monday. But then, it was a surprise when the four precincts became 9 precincts (if I am not mistaken). How come? pwede namang kausapin ng COMELEC ang BSU President for them to allow the use of the other rooms near the elementary department hindi ba? I think Mr. Colting is very generous enough to provide you with the rooms. Isa pa po, madali lang naman pong pagsunud-sunurin ang bilang ng mga precincts. For exampe, after 55-A will be 55-B. Bakit kailangan pang majumble? bakit kailangang mauna ang 55-B sa 55-A? Ok rin lang namang magmerge ang dalawang precinct. Pero hindi ba pwedeng ung magkasunod na number din sana? I had the worst experience last Monday. Watchers kami ng mga kandidato namin, pero ang naging trabaho namin ay taga-hanap ng mga pangalan nung mga taong nawawala. Ok naman na tumutulong kami sa paghahanap, but the thing is, nagiging
opportunity eto sa mga iba for them to campaign for their candidate.
alam ko sasabihin nyo hindi madali ang trabaho nyo. But for goodness sake,
you have 5 years!!!! 5 years to prepare for this barangay election and you have
3 damn years to prepare for the national and local election, hindi pa maayos man lang? I am not saying that you have to perfect your job na walang kaproble-problema. Problems will always arise, pero sana naman kung ano ung naging mali nyo for the past elections, wag nyo namang ulitin. Nasasaktan kayo pag nasasabihan kayo na nababayaran kayo? Well, do your job right. Ayusin nyo naman para hindi kayo masabihan na nasasampalan ng pera ng mga kandidato. And please lang, next time naman sana may mga tauhan rin naman sana ang COMELEC sa mga voting areas for them to assist the people. The
50 percent of the total votes of PICO that voted last Monday should be enough reason for you to perceive
how LOUSY and UNORGANIZED the past election was.
FYI lang po, madaming voters ang umalis last Monday just because their name was
NOT in the list provided that they
ACTUALLY VOTED last
MAY and
because of the 1 kilometer GAP of the divided precincts. BUMANGON KAYO MET A! I'M SORRY FOR SAYING THIS BUT YOU ONLY WORK DURING ELECTION TIME TAPOS HINDI NYO PA MAGAWA NG TAMA?! Isa pa, the
VOTER'S ID na matagal na rin naming tinatanong kung meron na, and your office will always tell us na wala pa dito sa atin. Well, you should ACT for it naman na sana. Alam nyo ba na para maiwasan ang mga flying voters e kailangan yang ID na yan? You know what, you can provide us with that ID and during the election all you have to do is ask for that ID. Para mabawasan naman ang dayaan issue. Yun lang....
